Like you, I get overwhelmed with all that needs to be done. There are times when I’d like to hop a plane to Easter Island instead of shopping for just one more Christmas gift!
But instead, I stare North, begging the little elves to come and help me.
Christmas is by far my favorite holiday. I just love the joy if the season, but it can be tiresome. That’s for sure!
Regardless of how overwhelming it is, it still has to get done…right? Otherwise, it simply wouldn’t be Christmas!
Instead of stressing out this year, use the suggestions and tips below to help organize all if your Christmas preparations, create your holiday dinner menu and stay on top of your gift buying.
Make a list of all the things you need to do for Christmas. Be sure to include decorating, baking, cooking, shopping, gift wrapping, etc.
Don’t stress over making the list! Just jot down your immediate ideas and add the rest as they come to you.
You’ll want to include all of the meals you need to prepare, as well as any dishes you need to bring along to other celebrations.
Check it Twice
Make a list of all the people you need to purchase gifts for this year. Be sure to include all of your family members, friends and co-workers that you exchange gifts with.
Give the kids each a wish list and let them tell you what they want instead of stressing over what to buy.
Just remind them that they while they can write anything they want on the list, it doesn’t mean they will receive everything on the list.
Jot down your own gifting ideas for the remaining people on your gift list, along with special ideas you have for your children.
Send the Love
Make a card list, including each person and their addresses, that you send a Christmas card to each year. Prepare Christmas cards and send them out at the beginning of December.
The earlier, the better and then, you won’t be stressed about doing cards when you should be wrapping gifts.
