Are you looking for some sweet grilling recipes? Look no further! This post is all about the desserts and features the 10 best grilling recipes for your summer BBQ!
I love summertime and one of my favorite things about summer is that it’s the husband’s time to cook! He loves to grill and I’m happy to let him do it all summer long. It means less time in a sweltering, hot kitchen for me and we get to try new recipes that we don’t have the rest of the year. Some of our best grilling recipes have come from one of us playing around with ingredients and I look forward to seeing what we come up with each year.
I’ve been saving tons of recipes on my Summer BBQs board on Pinterest and I thought, with Memorial Day and Graduation coming up, it was high time to share some of these delicious goodies with you. Because I have so many saved (both on the board and coming up soon), I’ve decided to break it down into 3 posts.
Summer’s short – eat dessert first!
Today, I’m starting with the dessert edition. The desserts that I’m about to share are some of the best grilling recipes for sweets that I have ever seen and I look forward to trying some of them. I’m always shocked at the cool ideas that other people come up with and researching these grilling recipes really took me by surprise. I never would have thought to grill an entire fruit salad, that’s for sure!
So, let’s get on with it shall we? I hope you enjoy perusing these super sweet looking treats!
10 Best Grilling Recipes for Your Summer BBQ: The Dessert Edition
Grilled Fruit Pizza
This grilled fruit pizza from The Chunky Chef would be the perfect refreshing treat after a long, hot day at the campground. And a great way to get the kids to eat something healthy!
Grilled Berry Pie
No more soggy cooler pies! Instead of baking your pie at home, just prepare it ahead of time and grill it on your campfire like Crazy for Crust did with this Grilled Berry Pie! Everyone in the campground will be sniffing their way to your site.
Grilled Fruit Salad
Fruit salad is one of my very favorite summer treats and the idea of grilling all the fruit just makes my mouth water. Whoever over at Real Simple Good that thought to grill the fruit, is a genius.
Okay, so not actually a grilling recipe, but how cute are these grill cupcakes from Frugal Mom Eh!? They’d be perfect for camping with kids!
Grilled Banana S’mores
Personally, not a banana fan. BUT, I still think these Grilled Banana S’mores from 365-ish Days of Pinterest are super cool! And why couldn’t you substitute the banana for apples or peaches? It’s a great way to get the kids to eat some fruit while camping.

These look so good that I wanna pull out the grill right now and start baking…err…grilling. These Cinnamon Sugar Grilled Donuts from McCormick are the perfect campfire breakfast treat for the kids!

Never would have thought to grill watermelon but I’m so glad that Grill Lovers’ did! This one is definitely on my summer BBQ list! I can absolutely see how grilling the watermelon wold bring out the sweetness. I can’t wait to try this one. Drizzled in honey.
S’mores Campfire Cones
The girls and I tried these S’mores Campfire Cones, from Frugal Coupon Living, while we were camping last summer and they are so, so yummy! And so, so sweet! I substituted Reeses’ Peanut Butter Cups for the chocolate and it was to die for.
Just a word to the wise? Don’t get them too close to the flames. Burning chocolate on a hot, humid day tends to stick around for awhile. Yeah.
Coconut Brown Sugar Glazed Grilled Pineapple
Cinnamon Sugar Grilled Peaches
Yum! Yum! Yum! I’ll bet you could even eat these Cinnamon Sugar Grilled Peaches, from High Heels & Grills, for breakfast! Maybe with some vanilla bean yogurt in place of ice cream?
