Need a quick and easy bread recipe? Try this delicious homemade honey sandwich bread – it’s ready in 30 minutes or less and it requires just 6 ingredients!
Yes, you read that right! Homemade honey sandwich bread in a half an hour, for real!
You might remember this recipe from back in 2016, when I originally posted it. But, since many store shelves are empty and everyone is making bread from scratch, I thought today would be a good time to update the recipe!
Originally, I found this sandwich bread recipe in an old cookbook that my Grandmother gave me from the 1940’s.
And I was really surprised to find a sandwich bread recipe listed under the quick breads.
I’d never heard of a “quick” sandwich bread before…most sandwich bread requires a whole lotta rising and kneading!
But, having never tried this type of sandwich bread before, I felt an instant need to make this recipe.
And I’m glad I listened to my gut!
It is so simple to put together that you could make it every morning (like a real pioneer woman!).
And it only requires 6 simple ingredients, so there isn’t much mess.
Plus it bakes in 30 minutes, how easy is that?!
Oh and I forgot to mention the most important part!!!
It’s delicious!
Sweet and chewy on the inside with a slight crunch to the outer crust. Perfect for making sandwiches of all kinds!
So, go ahead! Try it today – you have time…really you do!
And you’re going to love it!
