Summer has arrived! It’s getting hot and I am working on stocking up my freezer for the hot summer nights ahead. Life is, as usual, hectic and full around here. Filling the freezer with ready to go meals is a great way to get dinner on the table without a lot of preparation. My homemade pizza sauce is one of the easiest thing to prepare and it’s uses are endless!

And who doesn’t love pizza?

This sauce is perfect to pull it out for pizza, mozzarella bites, bread sticks, calzones, homemade pizza rolls, pizza pockets, pizza muffins and so much more!

I promise, my homemade pizza sauce is so amazing, you’ll want to make lots of it! Feel free to double up or even triple up the recipe.

Homemade Pizza Sauce Recipe

Supplies Needed:

Ingredients:

Yields: 8 cups
  • 2 – 28 ounce cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 – 12 ounce cans tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons Italian dressing mix
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
Pour the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste into a large pot.
Add the Italian dressing mix and chopped garlic. Stir to combine.
Heat on medium temperature until boiling. Turn temperature down to medium-low and continue cooking for 20 to 25 minutes.
Store sauce in freezer bags or freezer safe containers.
I stored mine in freezer bags in 2 cup portions.
